We went to Orlando with Scott when he had to go for a work training.
Because Scott was working most of the time it was John and I on our own most of the time.
So most of the pictures on this one will be of John.
So while Scott toiled away, John and I suffered our way through the Magic Kingdom.
And endured Hollywood Studios.
And made it through Epcot.
And put up with Universal Studios.
Yes...Life is good.
For the record I home-schooled John everyday before we went out to play at the happiest place on earth.
And I tried to teach John things here and there while we were riding on the rides and just spending time together.
Aside from his daily math and spelling lessons sent by Ms. Alka...
He learned about gravity, and g-forces.
He learned about animation and how it works...he even practiced drawing a little which is good for small motor skills.
He learned about weather and temperature...mainly that people are very confused about what to wear in Florida in November. Here's a hint: Halter tops and short, shorts might not keep you warm.
We learned about music and sound effects.
We did some physical education.
We learned about the environment.
We sent e-mails to Ms. Alka and grandparents for computer class.
We learned about centrifugal force.
We learned about the galaxy and space travel. And sometimes we would just talk about our hopes and dreams.
And we had fun trick riding bulls. Showing those crazy Americans how we do it in India.
You must respect the cow.
Be friends with the cow.
Thank the cow with the sacred quarter.
After the training we met up with a former Hyderabad expat and her son who have moved back to Florida.
We told John how his mom and dad met at K-mart and he took this picture.
